United American Tribal Embassy International
Nigeria National Membership, Leadership & Cultural Registry
UATEI Nigeria brings together Nigeria's diverse ethnic, cultural and regional communities for cooperative development, diplomacy, education, cultural preservation, human capacity development and community service.
The mission promotes unity without cultural uniformity. Participating communities may preserve their language, heritage, traditions and cultural identity while participating in a broader national and international cooperative structure.
Listen to the UATEI Nigeria Mission
This narrated mission explains the purpose of UATEI Nigeria, acknowledges the leadership of Prime Minister Amb. Abraham Kwaghfan and the national and regional leadership, and outlines the objective of building cultural, social and economic cooperation among Nigeria's diverse communities.
United American Tribal Embassy International — Nigeria Mission
Welcome to the United American Tribal Embassy International Nigeria Chapter.
The Nigeria Chapter has been organized around a fundamental principle: unity does not require people to abandon who they are.
Nigeria is home to many historic peoples, ethnic communities, languages, cultural traditions, religious traditions, states and regions. Each carries its own history, knowledge, achievements and experiences. UATEI Nigeria seeks to create a cooperative structure where those distinctions can be respected while communities work together toward shared development.
Our objective is cultural unity without cultural uniformity.
Acknowledgment of Prime Minister Abraham Kwaghfan
Special acknowledgment is given to Amb. Abraham Kwaghfan, Prime Minister of United American Tribal Embassy International Nigeria.
His leadership represents the responsibility of bringing together a national body that reaches beyond a single community, state or geopolitical zone.
The office of Prime Minister carries the responsibility of listening to the different regions of Nigeria, coordinating leadership, encouraging cooperation and helping establish an environment in which the various communities represented within UATEI Nigeria can contribute to a common mission.
Leadership in this structure is not intended merely to create titles. Leadership must produce service. The effectiveness of UATEI Nigeria will therefore be measured by the relationships it builds, the people it educates, the communities it strengthens and the opportunities it helps create.
Recognition of the National and Regional Leadership
Recognition is extended to the Deputy Prime Ministers, Zonal Prime Ministers, State Prime Ministers, diplomatic representatives, executive officers, administrators, legal advisers, welfare officers, financial officers, security personnel, protocol officers, press representatives and cultural leaders contributing to the development of UATEI Nigeria.
Each office has a different function, but all offices are connected to the same larger purpose.
North Central has its voice. North East has its voice. North West has its voice. South East has its voice. South South has its voice. South West has its voice.
The national structure exists so that these voices can communicate with one another rather than remain separated from one another.
No region needs to disappear into another region. No people need to surrender their cultural heritage in order to cooperate. The objective is to create a table large enough for everyone to participate.
Breaking Historical Barriers
One of the important responsibilities of this mission is helping communities move beyond historical barriers.
People may inherit memories of conflict. They may inherit political disagreements. They may inherit stereotypes about neighboring peoples. They may inherit distrust produced by events they personally never participated in.
A new generation has the ability to choose a different relationship.
UATEI Nigeria therefore encourages communities to study their history while also building a future that is not imprisoned by that history.
Cultural understanding can replace misunderstanding. Communication can replace assumptions. Trade can replace isolation. Joint development can replace unnecessary competition. Education can replace prejudice. Service can replace suspicion.
This does not require people to forget who they are. It requires people to understand that cultural identity and cooperation can exist at the same time.
From Cultural Unity to Development
Unity must eventually become productive.
For this reason, UATEI Nigeria is intended to develop more than ceremonial or diplomatic relationships.
The regional structure can become a framework for social and economic development.
Each geopolitical region can identify its own resources, challenges, skills, industries, agricultural strengths, educational needs and development opportunities.
Regional leadership can then work with national leadership to develop programs appropriate to those communities.
These programs may include agriculture and food production, vocational training, entrepreneurship, youth development, education, cultural tourism, housing initiatives, health and wellness education, family development, cooperative businesses, trade networks and professional development.
The goal is not merely to discuss economic development. The goal is to organize people so that economic development can occur.
Regional Economic Cooperation
Every region possesses something that can contribute to the whole.
Agricultural communities can participate in food production and distribution. Artisans can participate in cultural industries. Professionals can participate in education and technical development. Entrepreneurs can establish businesses. Young people can receive training. Women and families can participate in community-based enterprises.
Traditional knowledge can be preserved while modern technology is introduced.
Regional projects can remain locally rooted while gaining access to a larger Nigerian and international network.
UATEI Nigeria can therefore operate as a bridge. The bridge connects communities to communities. The bridge connects regions to regions. The bridge connects Nigeria to the wider United American Tribal Embassy International network.
Human Capacity Development
A community cannot develop only through buildings and money. People must also develop.
Human capacity development therefore remains an essential part of the mission.
Training, education, professional mentorship, youth leadership, cultural knowledge, entrepreneurship and practical skills can help communities strengthen their own internal capacity.
The purpose is to develop people who can build institutions rather than remain permanently dependent upon institutions created by others.
When knowledge remains inside a community, that knowledge becomes generational wealth. When skills are transferred from elders to youth, experience becomes an inheritance. When businesses are developed, employment can remain within the community. When regions cooperate economically, prosperity can circulate through a larger network.
The Cultural Registry
The UATEI Nigeria Registry is more than a list of names. It is intended to become a living map of participation.
The registry identifies national leadership, regional leadership, state leadership and participating members.
It allows people to see the different geopolitical regions represented inside the mission.
It can also record the cultural communities, languages and states represented by participating members when those individuals choose to provide that information.
As the registry grows, it will demonstrate that different peoples can maintain their identities while participating in one cooperative structure.
Regional Activities
Each region can use this registry to communicate its activities.
If the South East organizes a cultural program, it can be published within the South East section. If North Central organizes a development project, it can be published within North Central. If South South organizes an economic program, it can appear within its regional activity section.
The same applies to North East, North West and South West.
When the entire Nigeria Chapter participates in an activity together, that activity can be published nationally for all six regions.
The website therefore becomes not only a directory but a record of what the organization is actually doing.
A New Relationship
The people represented within this mission do not have to agree on every issue in order to build together.
They do not have to share the same language. They do not have to come from the same ethnic community. They do not have to share identical traditions.
Cooperation begins with recognizing a shared interest in peace, development, dignity, opportunity and the well-being of future generations.
UATEI Nigeria seeks to build that cooperative relationship one community, one region and one project at a time.
Under the national leadership of Prime Minister Abraham Kwaghfan, and with the service of the national, regional and state leadership, the mission is to transform cultural representation into practical cooperation.
The measure of success will not simply be how many names appear in the registry.
The measure of success will be how many relationships are strengthened, how many young people are trained, how many families are supported, how many communities participate, how many businesses are developed and how many barriers are replaced by productive relationships.
Many peoples. Many cultures. Six geopolitical regions. One cooperative mission.
