United American Tribal Embassy International Registry

This registry page provides a structured process for applicants seeking to document and affirm their ancestry through the historical record and enter the registry through a unified intake system.

Applicants are guided through qualifications review, document downloads, ancestry affidavit completion, e-signature, registry application, and pre-ID setup so that future ID processing can be done without asking for the same information twice.

What the Registry Is

The registry serves as a structured intake system for individuals and families seeking to document, affirm, and organize ancestral lineage connected to the Reconstruction-era period, especially around 1866, and to an ancestor classified in the historical record as Freedmen, Free Person of Color, or Person of African Descent.

Structured Intake

The process guides the applicant through one organized workflow instead of multiple disconnected forms and repeated requests for the same information.

Petition Inclusion

Registry enrollment also includes petition participation through the same intake process, reducing duplicate paperwork and duplication of administrative effort.

Future ID Readiness

The page also includes a pre-ID setup so that once a person is ready to order an ID, the embassy already has the data needed for processing.

Important: Submission through this page begins the registry intake and review process. Final acceptance, review, and future ID issuance remain subject to internal administrative standards and embassy review procedures.

Qualification Standard

To move forward in the registry process, the applicant should be able to trace lineage back to the Reconstruction era, especially around 1866, and connect that lineage to an ancestor classified in historical records in one of the following ways.

Freedmen

An ancestor identified in historical records as Freedmen, Freedman, or Freedwoman.

Free Person of Color

An ancestor identified in census, church, land, court, tax, probate, or family records as a free person of color.

Person of African Descent

An ancestor identified through historical administrative records under classifications tied to African descent within the relevant era.
